Amy has a multifaceted professional background that includes teaching, curriculum development, writing, speaking, coaching and training, and nonprofit development. As Director of Development and External Affairs for the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), she was known for her ability to cultivate and steward donor relationships, an effort that generated significant awareness and revenue for the museum’s mission.
Amy has successfully led several Hampton Roads organizations as a president or chair and has served on local non-profit boards. She has presented at numerous conferences and forums, including the Small Museums National Conference, the South Hampton Roads Museums Forum, and regional and state organizations.
A magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Amy holds five distinct certifications in the field of coaching.
